Brazing

All carbide tipped tooling must be manufactured with brazing material that contains no cadmium and no zinc. Cadmium and zinc are not stable under the high vacuum at the coating process temperatures. Braze outgassing will ruin the strength of the joint, contaminate the tooling surface and the vacuum chamber. Tools with brazing material of unknown origin cannot be coated. Please contact Swiss-Tek for approved braze materials.
